Gaming: Sony launches PlayStation 4 Wednesday, November 1 2017, 08:16 GMT By David Gibbon, Gaming Reporter During a celebrity-filled bash at London's O2 Arena, Sony unveiled what it hopes will be the future of gaming: the PlayStation 4. Among the stars at the event were Jonathan Ross, Prince Harry and Brooklyn Beckham, alongside new wife Emma Bunton, who gathered to watch a presentation of Sony's eagerly-awaited new console. The ticket-only event, which was also attended by over 1,500 gamers, saw Sony's managing director Phil Harrison conduct a faultless presentation, adding that Sony intends to conquer the world - and Nintendo - with its latest system. Harrison said: "Featuring motion-sensing controls, the PlayStation 4 aims to revolutionise the industry. The console includes a PS hand wand with optional changeable heads, allowing gamers to swap between a tennis racket to an F1 steering wheel to recreate the most realistic gaming experience yet. The PS4 is the most wanted entertainment system in the world - and we intend to outdo Nintendo in every area." Harrison later revealed that the PlayStation 4's major selling point will be a new head unit bundled with the system, stating: "PlayStation 4's new Headview headset comprises a helmet that the gamer wears. The device, which covers the player's eyes, will offer the ultimate virtual experience. If the game the player is controlling is set in a desert, this helmet, complete with built-in temperature control, will take them there with the sights, sounds, smells and climate of the desert." Harrison then defiantly added: "No other console has ever offered the gamer such an experience. PS4 is not a multimedia device, it's a system for gamers and offers them everything they have ever wanted. Now Nintendo, beat that!" Featuring five microprocessors and visual capabilities Sony claims are comparable to that of a supercomputer, the firm is predicting the PlayStation 4, which retails for £399, will sell over two million units within three months, breaking all previous sales records. PlayStation 4 will available in retail stores from Friday, November 24. Damn it! Get off my balls I know it's fake

5. Again the problem is price. Sooner or later they are going to have to realize that if they sell their console for nearly double the price of the competition, they are gonna get killed. The PS3 isn't a bad system, it just cost so much that most people went out and bought a Wii instead. Unless the price comes down, I'm afraid the same fate awaits the PS4.

9. That's not real, that's something that you made up. Phil Harrison is no longer with Sony, he's at Atari now and he left Sony a couple of months ago. Sony probably hasn't even started planning on what features the PS4 will even have. They are soley focused on the PS3 right now. A PS4 isn't coming out until 2012 or later. And for your information, the PS3 is a system for gamers and it's a multimedia device all in one. I read gaming news ALL THE TIME everyday and I have yet to read anything like this and if I haven't read it when I keep up with gaming news daily, it's definantly not real.
10. I agree with David. Even if this document is true sony would problably charge way too much just like the ps3. If sony would lower the prizes many more gamers would buy their consoles.
