my home cinema has a digital coaxial in and my sky hd has an optical out. How can I connect them, if at all?

If there is a cable that will connect them are coaxial and optical the same sort of thing? Will there be any difference in quality? Will the home cinema automatically decode 5.1 from the sky hd box?

1. There will be anoptical connection on the back of ure equipment, there will be a small plastic plug that u remove to insert the optical tube
2. If you only have optical out from your sky hd and coaxial in on your audio gear you can purchase an inexpensive optical to coaxial adapter. The links below should help.
